SESSION SCHEDULE - COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

Tuition is based on the number of sessions of a course you attend throughout the week. Some courses are offered multiple times with the same or different instructors. If you sign up for 3 or less sessions, cost is $50 each; 4 –5 sessions, 40 each; more than 5 sessions, $30 each—OR— $30/$20/$10 for auditing stock classes, and shorter classes. Afternoon classroom sessions are approximately an hour in length at are priced at $30/$20/$10. Sessions are rated per handler/dog team. A handler with multiple dogs wanting to work both in the same course must register each separately.

Session 1 -Introduction to spinning Learn how to spin on a drop spindle and if you are brave, on a spinning wheel. We will also do some carding on a drum carder to make roving (the step before spinning).

Session 2 - Introduction to weaving - the basics of setting up a loom, choosing your yarn and how to get started weaving.

Introduction to knitting Learn how to cast on, knit and purl and what ever else we have time for.

Barn Hunt is based on the traditional roles of many breeds in ridding farms, barns, crop storage areas, and homes of destructive vermin. Barn Hunt is open to any dog of any breed or mix who wishes to play the game and can fit through an 18" wide by bale-height tall tunnel. $30/$20/$10
Stock Dog Obedience

The Great Cattle, Sheep & Duck Drive - Regional Field Trip
On Wednesday, symposium students will be encouraged to participate in a driving tour encompassing local attractions within a 50 miles radius of Rancho Terra Norte' including Terry Bison Ranch, Cheyenne WY, Vedawoo, Laramie WY, Soapstone Prairie & Lindemier Archeological site.
